Working with us.
How much does a project cost?
Every project is quoted on its own. After a free call, we send a written proposal with a fixed price, a clear scope and a timeline. The price doesn't change unless you ask for something the proposal doesn't cover, and any change is agreed in writing first.
Who owns the website or software when it's finished?
You do. The domain, the hosting account, the content and the code are set up in your name. Every project ends with training, so your team can run what we built without us.
Do you meet in person?
Yes, when you want to. We're based in Kansas City and glad to meet face to face for kickoffs, reviews and launch day. Phone and video work just as well if they suit you better.
Questions about your website.
Do we have to sign up for a monthly plan?
No. Monthly care is optional. It covers updates, security, backups and small changes, with a real person to call. Take it if you'd like us to keep watch, or skip it and let your trained team run things.
Can you work with the website we already have?
Often, yes. Send us the address and we'll take an honest look first. If it's worth keeping, we'll improve it. If a rebuild would cost you less in the long run, we'll explain why.
Will we be able to update the site ourselves?
Yes. We build it so you can change text, photos, hours and prices yourself, and we show your team how before we hand it over. If you'd rather not, a care plan covers content changes too.
What's the difference between SEO and AI search visibility?
SEO, or search engine optimization, helps your site show up in Google's list of results. AI search visibility helps assistants like ChatGPT and Gemini find, understand and recommend your business when someone asks them a question. Both depend on clear, consistent information about your business, so we work on them together.
Can you guarantee a first-page ranking on Google?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. Google decides its own rankings. What we can do is fix what holds your site back, make your business easy for search engines and AI assistants to understand, and explain in plain English what we changed and why.
Questions about custom software.
How do we know if we need custom software?
It depends on the problem. If your team re-types the same information into several systems, or a key process lives in one fragile spreadsheet, custom software may pay for itself. If a tool you can buy today will do the job, we'll say so before we quote you for anything.
Can you connect the tools we already use?
Usually, yes. QuickBooks, Square, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 all let other systems connect to them, and so do most modern business tools. We'll confirm what's possible with yours before we quote.
Is our information safe with an AI assistant?
We set up every assistant with guardrails: it only sees the documents you choose, and we explain in plain English where your information goes and who can see it. If a task isn't a good fit for AI, we'll tell you.
